  MIAMI VICE (2006): A CRITICAL APPRECIATION   I watched this movie for the first time back in October, 2025. And for the past 7 months I have been obsessed. Every time I go out for a late night drive, I think of Miami Vice. Every time I observe the skyline of Mumbai, I think of Miami Vice. Every time I look at the clouds at night, I think of Miami Vice. What am I talking about? Well, back in 2006 the famous filmmaker Michael Mann made a film called as Miami Vice. It starred relatively established names such as Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Gong Li, Naomie Harris, etc. Back when it was released, the audience treated it well, as they usually do. And as expected, the critics were polarized. I do not wish to comment on the opinions of critics, as I disregard them thoroughly. Let me talk about my opinion.   Top 10 Movie Scores   Alright. For a non cinephile, the title is probably misleading. When I say ‘score’ I don’t mean I am going to give movies a score out of 100. No. A score means the music that is played throughout the movie. The background music to be specific. For Bollywood movies the score usually means the songs that are played in between where there is dance or drama, according to the movie requirements. But when I talk about Hollywood, the film scores mean the epic orchestral music that uplifts the film during scenes. Maybe this article might not appeal to everyone because not everyone notices the background music intently in a movie. In that case you can skip this article. 12 OVERRATED HOLLYWOOD FLICKS Welcome back dear readers. As it is with every blog, I apologize for being inactive, and leaving everyone stranded for so long. But now, I am back. And better than ever. In this 4 month break, I have significantly expanded my cinema knowledge. I downloaded Letterboxd, which in case you don’t know, is a social media-esque platform for reviewing and logging movies. I absolutely loved it, and I can actually keep a track of how many movies I have watched in my lifetime.
